Our reservation system is designed to make it easy for you to reserve your space on a river trip and get the information needed to find our meeting places. Space is limited on most of our trips and we book out weekends several weeks in advance on our popular rivers. If possible, please plan your trip at least 1 month in advance. If you have last minute urge to go rafting, call us for availability, we can sometimes add you to a trip 24 hours in advance.

PAYMENTS

We accept all major credit cards, personal checks, and money orders. Depending upon how soon your desired trip is, there are three options for terms of payment:

Trips booked a 2 months or more in advance require a deposit ($25 per person per day) to confirm your reservation. We will hold your space for 7 days until your deposit is due in our office. The balance of your fare is due 30 days prior to trip date.

Trips booked within a 2 months of trip date require full payment at time of reservation. If you do not have a credit card to make payment, we will hold your space for 7 days until payment is sent by check to our office. When we receive payment, your reservation is confirmed.

Last minute reservations are possible by telephone up to the day before trip date when paid by credit card and we have available space. You must have access to a fax machine when making last minute reservations. Payment on the day of the trip is usually not possible.

GROUP RESERVATIONS

In order to qualify for group discounts, the group organizer must pay for reservation with one credit card. Please do not use credit cards from each participant for large group reservations. You may send us individual checks by mail and still qualify for group discount prices.

CANCELLATION

In order for us to plan for your river trip we encounter costs well in advance of trip date which are not refundable to us if participants cancel their confirmed reservations. If you cancel less than 30 days before the trip date we cannot refund your payment. You may find someone else to take your place for no extra charge or penalty as long as you notify us in advance of trip date. Please make everyone in your group aware of our policy before collecting money. Our policy for cancellations is as follows.

Cancellations confirmed in writing 30 days prior to the trip will be entitled to a refund minus a $25.00 per person per day handling fee. Cancellations made within 30 days of the trip date, including last minute or “no show” cancellations on trip date will result in full forfeiture of all money paid to Beyond Limits Adventures, Inc. There are no exceptions to these terms.

We regret we cannot make exceptions for personal emergencies. For this reason we urge our guests to purchase trip cancellation insurance when making reservations. This insurance is available from our office and it will protect you in the event that you must cancel your trip due to a medical emergency.

TRANSFERS

It is rare that we ever cancel a scheduled rafting trip. However, we reserve the right to cancel a trip or change itineraries in the event that conditions on the river that you have selected is unsuitable for rafting due to weather, river or water conditions or any other factors beyond our control. A trip of equal quality will be offered as a replacement in order to provide you and your group with a super whitewater experience. If this replacement is unacceptable or no equivalent trip is available, a rain check credit will be given for your selected river, good for one year from the date of your trip. Beyond Limits Adventures, Inc. is not responsible for any other costs incurred by trip participants if itineraries are changed. Trip insurance is highly recommended for this possibility.

NON PERFORMANCE

If we cancel your trip due to insufficient reservations, we will refund your money in full. Refunds will be limited to the actual money paid to Beyond Limits Adventures, Inc. not any additional expenses or costs incurred by the trip member.

PARTICIPANT RESPONSIBILITY

Participants must realize that there are certain risks involved with any outdoor activity such as whitewater rafting. These risks include but are not limited to loss of personal property, bodily injury and death. You will be required to sign an assumption of risk form and liability release form before you embark on your trip.

It is the responsibility of the person reserving or organizing a group to make sure that everyone is given a copy of all information provided by Beyond Limits Adventures, Inc. concerning any river trip with Beyond Limits Adventures, Inc. This includes but is not limited to trip information, cancellation policy, liability information and physical requirements for participation on your selected trip.

Beyond Limits Adventures, Inc. reserves the right to refuse service to any participant or group which arrives for a trip improperly prepared, physically unfit, under the influence of drugs or alcohol, without required experience (where applicable), or for any reason that poses a threat to the safety or well being of our staff and other guests. In such cases no refunds or credits will be given.

NOTICE

The South Fork of the American River in its natural state would not have sufficient flows during the summer to support rafting or other floating activities as they are known today. Adequate flows for rafting result from hydroelectric releases from facilities located at Chili Bar and above. These releases are made for power generation and are not subject to the control of El Dorado County or commercial rafting companies operating under permits from El Dorado County.”
