Middle Fork American Rafting

Middle Fork American River Map

Middle Fork of the American River trips can be best described as... Awesome rapids, amazing scenery and pristine wilderness. Incredibly the Middle Fork runs all summer long due to daily powerhouse releases from Oxbow dam. If you can take a weekday off and round up some friends, we'll take you to a one day escape that you'll be talking about for years!

The biggest rapids on the Middle Fork are rated class 4. Since the trip covers 17 miles there is plenty of time to relax and catch your breath between the bursts of excitement. Previous paddling experience is not required but guests should be comfortable around water and in decent physical condition. The trips meet at 8:30AM in Auburn, CA and return by 5:00PM. Make sure you've eaten a hearty breakfast before you check in. We serve a deli style river lunch halfway through the run. Feel free to bring snacks and plenty of drinking water for your day on the Middle Fork.

Beyond Limits' most experienced guides conduct our Middle Fork trips daily. If you have a guide request please feel free to include this on your online reservation.

Who said there was no water this year going down the Sierra? We had a blast on the South
Fork of the American River with Beyond Limits Adventures. We asked for a 'really wet' trip,
and were already surfing a rapid 2 minutes later! The guide was amazing, allowing us to do 'bull riding' at the front of the raft, and sometimes to swim the rapids. My 12-year-old daughter loved
it. After the rafting, we stayed for the night at the Beyond Limits campground, by the river. Very relaxing, with some gold panning and swimming. We highly recommend!
