Welcome to Coloma, California "The Whitewater Capital" of the western US. This is where California's first gold was discovered in 1848 along the banks of the South Fork American River. Today you'll discover an incredible place for your group to enjoy the best river recreation in the west! Our facility was built for the sole purpose of hosting the most deluxe rafting adventures possible.

What is "Resort Camping"?
Some folks call it "glamping" but our goal is to offer our guests the most relaxing camping experience possible. We have cabin tents which are furnished with comfortable beds and cots. Relax in a lawn chair overlooking the American River enjoying a cool beverage while our staff prepares a bountiful meal for you and your friends. Off river activities include swimming, tubing, campfire, hiking, mountain biking, fishing, gold panning, casino and table games. Our resort features hot showers, flush toilets, and sinks for your use, please bring your own towels and toiletries.

Our group campsites are all river front and shaded by a quiet oak forest.

Our 2-day trips and overnight trips require a minimum group size of 4 persons. Meals are included for all 2 day and overnight packages. Please bring your own tents and camping gear for 2 day packages. If you would like to rent a cabin tent please add this option when you reserve your trip online or by phone.

Hot Showers, flush toilets and lavatories are available to all rafting guests.

During your 2-day or overnight trip, you will be served meals at our upper dining area. Our riverfront common campfire area is for campfires only, no cooking allowed. Please leave your stoves, grills and kitchen at home if you book a 2 day trip with us. Don't forget to bring your own sleeping bags, towels and pillows during your stay. We do not provide these items.

Beer Garden
Our beer garden features Sierra Nevada Brewing Company on tap and Modelo Especial on tap along with lots of cold bottled beer.

We also serve local wines from the Coloma Valley and El Dorado County wine country. After rafting  please visit one of the three wineries with a mile or so from our camp. This is a fun way to experience the rapids and wines of our unique area!

Big thanks to John, our guide for the afternoon south fork trip today. This was the first rafting trip for my wife and I and we will remember it for a long time to come. He was very nice, answered any and all questions we had during the trip and shared lots of great stories too.

I will definitely let anyone I know about your trips if they come out to the area. It was well worth the trip for us. This was one day of our week long trip to Lake Tahoe to celebrate our 20th anniversary.

Thanks again.
