Welcome to Coloma, California "The Whitewater Capital" of the western US. This is where California's first gold was discovered in 1848 along the banks of the South Fork American River. Today you'll discover an incredible place for your group to enjoy the best river recreation in the west! Our facility was built for the sole purpose of hosting the most deluxe rafting adventures possible.

What is "Resort Camping"?
Resort Camping is specially designed for the most relaxing camping experience possible. Our staff provides delicious meals during your stay. We also have cabin tents which are furnished with comfortable beds and cots. Relax in a lawn chair overlooking the American River enjoying a cool beverage while our staff prepares a bountiful meal for you and your friends. Off river activities include swimming, campfire, hiking, mountain biking, fishing, gold panning, casino and plenty of table games to keep your kids busy! Our resort features hot showers, flush toilets, and sinks for your use, please bring your own towels and toiletries.


Our group campsites are all river front and shaded by a quiet oak forest.

Our 2-day trips and overnight trips require a minimum group size of 4 persons. Meals are included for all 2 day and overnight packages. Please bring your own tents and camping gear for 2 day packages. If you would like to rent a cabin tent please add this option when you reserve your trip online or by phone.

Hot Showers, flush toilets and lavatories are available to all paying rafting guests.

During your 2-day or overnight trip, you will be served meals at our upper dining area. Our riverfront common campfire area is for campfires only, no cooking allowed. Please leave your stoves, grills and kitchen at home if you book a 2 day trip with us.

Beer Garden
Our beer garden features Sierra Nevada Brewing Company, including their finest Pale Ale and Summer Fest  Beer.

We also serve local wines from the Coloma Valley and El Dorado County wine country. Our 1 day rafting and wine tasting trips are available on certain days of the week and are a fun way to experience the rapids and wines of our unique area!

River Park Resort's camp store carries a large selection of beverages, snacks, beer, soda and souvenir items, including t-shirts, hats, and photographs of you and your friends on the river!

 


Cabin Tent Accommodations
Our 2 day trips include camping with your own equipment. River Park Resort offers cabin tent accommodations as an upgrade for our guests. Each tent will sleep 4 persons. You may also bring your own tents to set up on our lawn.

Our cabin tents and yurt are set up on a bluff overlooking the river. Bring your own sleeping bags or pillows. You may also rent sleeping bags at our camp store.

Please note, we do NOT allow cooking or open fires in or near our cabin tents/yurt. You may bring coolers with prepared food or enjoy one of the nearby restaurants.
Large Cabin Tents:
These upgraded outfitter cabin tents with foundations are set up for 4 persons and their gear. 1 double bed and 1 bunk bed are included, bring your own sleeping bags and pillows.

Price: $80 per night



The Riverview Yurt:
This deluxe bungalow tent provides the ultimate camping experience. It will hold up to 6 persons. Bring your own sleeping bags and pillows.

Items Needed for Resort Camping
The only equipment that is required to stay at our resort is personal camping equipment (sleeping bag, tent, pad, and toiletries). We do not allow pets, but we can recommend boarding for your pet in our area.
Please bring: Towels, changes of clothes, Soap and toiletries, lawn chairs, sleeping bag, pillow, pad, tent (if needed), flashlight, sunscreen, swimsuit, sunglasses.
Our all-inclusive camping resort is great for kids. Kids can wade and fish from our beach at riverside. There are trails nearby and Marshall Gold Discovery Park is only a short hike from our resort.


Camping Equipment Rentals
2 person tent - $20.00 per night
Sleeping bags - $10.00 per two day stay.
Pads - $5.00 per two day stay.

Incidentals for camping such as firewood, ice, flashlights, repellent, sunscreen, etc. may be purchased at our camp store.


Meals
All-inclusive 2-day trips include lunch each day, dinner and breakfast. All meals are served buffet style.
2-day trip meals include:

  • Our hearty mesquite smoked bar-be-cue Dinner cooked at our outdoor grill with sides and beverages.
  • Pancake & Oatmeal Breakfast Bar - including coffee, tea, hot chocolate, fruit juice and ice water.
  • Lunch - Burgers (meat and veggie) with salad, fresh fruit, cookies and beverage.

Beer and Wine may be purchased from our camp store anytime (normal business hours) during your stay.

For optional meals (such as breakfast on day 1) there are several fine restaurants located nearby within easy walking distance from our camp.


Do it Yourself Camping: $20 per person per night

If you are more of a do-it-yourself camper, we can accommodate your group at one of our group campsites, furnished with picnic tables and dining canopy. Bring your own tents and enjoy our beautiful river setting. Our Group campsites require a minimum of 12 persons per site. If you have fewer than 12 persons during our Busy Season (July and August) we require you to book an overnight trip or 2 day trip. Groups with less than 12 persons may add camping to any trip during our shoulder seasons (May, June and September). Do it your self campers should bring all of their own cooking gear with them.

Our camp store sells snacks, beverages, firewood, ice and some camping items. 

For large groups who plan to cook meals at our camp a resort fee will be charged for the use of our cleaning and trash facilities.
